Eastern Montana Bible Camp (EMBC) is searching for dedicated counselors to join our team for the upcoming summer! As a counselor, you'll play a vital role in shaping the camp experience for a group of campers, fostering their spiritual growth and creating lasting memories.


What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as a positive role model and mentor for your assigned cabin of campers.

  • Guide campers in their faith journey through Bible study, discussions, and worship activities.

  • Lead fun and engaging cabin activities, games, and initiatives.

  • Provide support, encouragement, and pastoral care to your campers.

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of your campers throughout the day and night.

  • Collaborate with other counselors and camp staff to create a positive and Christ-centered environment.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Individuals 19 years of age or older (by the start date of camp).

  • Passionate Christians with a strong faith in Jesus Christ.

  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and responsible individuals who enjoy working with young people.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to lead and motivate others.

  • Strong work ethic and a commitment to teamwork.

  • A heart for serving and making a positive impact.

COUNSELOR APPLICATIONS

FULL TIME COUNSELOR

Counselors must be 19 years of age or older and should plan to be at camp for one week of training and the following 4 weeks of camp. The 2024 camp season runs from June 3rd -June 28th with training starting Tuesday, May 28th. 

Application for counselors for 1-3 weeks, please fill out “SAM/Counseling Application” next.

Jr. Staff & CIT’s

Counselor-in-Training (CIT) - CIT's must be 16 years of age or older and can volunteer during Junior and Pioneer week.

Jr. Staff - Jr. Staff must be between the ages of 13-17 and can volunteer during Jr. High, Junior, and Pioneer camp.

CIT’s and Jr. Staff should plan on being at camp Sunday-Friday (Saturday for Jr. High week) during their week(s) of choice. Staff training begins at 2 pm on Sunday.

1-3 WEEK S.A.M’S

Service Ministry Applicant (SAM) - S.A.M. stands for Service and Ministry. S.A.M'S must be 18 years of age or older.  S.A.M'S can help for one afternoon, one week, or the entire camping season. A S.A.M's duties include running free time activities, doing dishes, and aiding in supervising campers during chapel sessions, split times, etc. Therefore, allowing the counselors to be more available to their campers.
